Empowering the Homeless
There are many reasons why individuals or families become homeless. The road from homelessness to a normal life can be filled with many challenges that may seem insurmountable, but the homeless charity Community Partnership for the Homeless, now known as Chapman Partnership, came into being for just that purpose: to make it easier for the homeless to lead normal, productive lives.
We offer dignity and hope to all, so that no persons sleep on the streets of our community. This is why for many years our motto was “Where hope lives.”
We made the official announcement of our name change at the Tenth Annual Gala. The name change to Chapman Partnership was made in order to honor our founder, Alvah Chapman, who had a vision to help the least, the last and the lost of our community.
Alvah used to say, “God has been good to us and prayers have been answered, but this job is not done, yet.” We will continue to carry on his mission. Our mission and goals will always remain the same, but our new
Chapman Partnership helps the homeless with support services, so that they can move on to fulfilling lives filled with hope.
As a non-profit homeless charity we provide many services to the homeless, whether they are individual men and women, single parents or families.
Our number one priority as a homeless charity is to provide homeless assistance and stability to people who are referred to us by the Miami-Dade County Homeless Outreach. While we do provide shelter to 800 homeless women, children and men on a daily basis, we don’t stop there. We offer a meal program, job training, education, medical and dental help, childcare, case management and housing placement, among other services.
